The tale of Get Out

There are certain phrases or words that people use so often or in such a manner that it becomes synonymous with their name. Like I have been nicknamed chava by my group. It is because in our first semester together, I used the word chava meaning 'stud' quite often. Every time someone scored a goal in a football match,or when someone did really well in tests or some other achievement, i used to call them chava. This is a story about how the phrase get out became synonymous with Sumit.
I already told you that Sumit is an over pampered kid. Along with that, he also gets irritated quite fast. I have seen his face go red with angry if someone teases him even a little.
This is a story of the day we were watching 'Body of Lies', a Leonardo DiCaprio film.It was the time when election were going on in our college. There were 6 of us watching it in Sumit's room. The 5 of us were me,Sarvesh,Kartik,Anil and ofcourse Sumit. The movie was quite interesting and we all were very focused. Well, everyone was focused except Anil who kept making some weird but funny comments. Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. Our focus shifted from the movie towards the knock. Hearing the knock, we all turned towards the door while Sumit paused the film and got up to open the door. Looking at his face, one could easily figure out he didn't like being disturbed while watching the film. Door opened to reveal Tarak standing outside. He was  carrying a bag. His eyes were only half open, a characteristic of his. He entered the room while one of us popped the question "where are you coming from". Given the fact that it was 8 pm, we were sure he wasn't returning from college. He replied " I had a quiz club meeting. What are you guys doing?"
Sarvesh replied " Watching a movie. Come join us."
Tarak removed his bag and tossed in on the ground. He was eating a chocolate bar and threw it wrapper in the dustbin inside Sumit's room. Sumit shouted "don't throw it in there. I just cleaned my dustbin."
We were all a little surprised. A dustbin is a dustbin whether clean or not and is made for throwing stuff. Plus, a small wrapper wouldn't make it so dirty that it would be needed to be cleaned again.
When Sarvesh and I pointed it out to him, he got a little pissed but said nothing. Other than Sumit, we all let out a giggle and let the wrapper stay in the dustbin.  Tarak then came and sat on the bed and asked for a summary of what had happened till now. So we narrated to him the whole story in 10 minutes. Sumit did not look pleased with this time-off but didn't complain about it. After we were done narrating the story to Tarak, we played the movie again. Again we had to listen to Anil pointing the mistakes in the movie and make stupid comments.
Barely 15 minutes later, there was another knock on the door. However this time, it was a soft knock. Sumit paused the movie, but not in a calm was. He hit the space bar button hard enough to make a loud noise and got up murmuring something none of us understood. He opened the door. Saras was standing there. He said he wanted to talk about H-rep. H-rep stands for hostel representative.
Just as he started to come inside, Sumit shouted " Get Out".
We all turned out heads towards Sumit and wondered what he was doing. Sumit face was red and twisted with anger. His one fist was clenched while other one was open, with the index finger pointing towards the door. We could make out he was furious but had no clue as to why.
Saras also stood there, eyes open wide which showed he was just as surprised as we were. First I figured that he had pissed off Sumit sometime before and Sumit was still angry at him. But then Sumit spoke.
"I just want to watch the freaking movie in peace. But you all keep coming and disturbing me and dirtying my dustbin. And this idiot Anil keeps making poor jokes. Why the hell can't you people let me watch the movie in peace. I don't want to hear anything. Just get out and let me watch the movie in peace."
It was the first time anyone of us had seen him so pissed off. But at the same time , he looked absolutely ridiculous. His plump face was red and twisted, his one eye small and another one big and his one fist clenched and other one pointing at the door. His lips formed and odd shape. It was not a frown. It appeared like someone had hit him in the face and distorted it. I looked at Sarvesh and couldn't help but smile. He smiled back signaling that he found Sumit's face to be comical as well.
Saras got pissed at this rude behavior and said " I have an H-rep candidate here with me who is in third year. If you don't want to hear about this, you get out. "
Hearing this, Anil let out a laughter. By this time, the H-rep candidate, whom we all had missed came into the picture. He was standing behind Saras. His face showed surprise as well. He had no idea what was going on and was blankly staring at us for some clue. I am sure he was thinking , " did I walk into a psych ward?"
Sumit's face was now filled with embarrassment. He had actually shouted at a senior. He started saying" I'm sorry bhaiya (big brother). I didn't know you were standing there. I was just pissed at these guys."
As he said this, the redness of his face vanished, his face looked scared and his fist was no longer clenched.
We all thought the senior would shout at Sumit but he did not. He just came in, completely ignored Sumit and gave us his manifesto. He was talking about what all he would do to help us, how he would organize the bhavan night, a night on which all members of hostel play games, eat and party together. I actually wasn't listening to him. I was looking at Sumit, trying to figure out what he was thinking. All I could make out was that he was damn scared and looked like he would start crying.
Gladly he didn't do that.
When the senior left, we all decided not to watch the movie but rather go for dinner in the mess. Sumit did not accompany us. Throughout the dinner, we talked about the incident. We also had a good laugh as we discussed the look on Sumit's and the senior's face. Saras was extremely angry for obvious reasons. He was the one who had been insulted and didn't like that at all.

Although this incident occurred in the beginning of the first semester of our second year, we still talk about it frequently. It has become a good source of amusement and  has generated several memes.
But the most important reason why this incident has become so common among all of us is because of the phrase get out. We often tease Sumit with this, but make sure we don't hurt his feelings too much.
